Growing Up...

Sigh after a heart felt talk to a special friend of mine today, I find my own future very bleak. It's like I'm losing direction from what I know I wanna do. :( Sigh. I don't want to grow up. I just don't want to disappoint anyone anymore. sigh~ why when we grow up we face so much of problem? I miss those day I just need to worry if daddy remember to give me recess and lunch money for school. Or when does my homework due. sigh~ Some times I just don't wanna grow old anymore.

Thru my childhood I disappoint everyone around me time and time again. I can't even think of 10 things my mom and my dad is/was proud about me. In the eyes of other people, I'm a failure in my studies. I just dont know what I want now anymore. whether or not being confuse or what.

This thing really hit on me during my graduation when my lecturer told me this :-

Focus on your abilities! and not those things you aren't good at....
Sigh.. problem with me I finding my abilities and not my flaws. I went thru reflection and question myself.

I don't want to be a failure anymore. Working in the tourism and hospitality industry was what I wanna do since I'm in my secondary school. Make up itself was my comfort zone. But young girls and guys, just a reminder.

Even when you fail, there are always people around you who will catch you when you fall, allow you to rely on.

My worst mistakes thru my childhood and teenage live was trusting myself and only myself. Well needless to say I do have some friends who I open myself up to but due to my stubborn believe everyone out there were most probably harming me in anyways verbally or in action therefore I don't have much friends, in fact i gain more enemies then friends.
I was silly. I was hurt. I have no one to talk to at a point of time in myself. I bottle up everything to myself.

Looking back now I felt I was such a straight forward bitch who does not care about other feelings but myself in school with low or no self esteem.

Another advice : The only way to help yourself is to take the first step out to let people to help you. If you gonna build a wall around people, there is no way they can help you at all.

This only hit me when I was about to finish my course in ITE.

I really do treasure people around me but due to my low self esteem, I didnt know how to express myself.
Even till now, I have problem expressing my love to my parents some times as well.

At least now I'm happy. Happy that I open up myself.

Well I know it suppose to be a beauty blog. To me beauty is not only skin deep but it start with the mindsets.

Review: Elf Matte Lip Color In Coral.

NOTE: This is a non-sponsored review and they are my true most honest opinion about the product/s

Dear Beauty Babies :), Today will be my take on the E.L.F Studio Matte Lip Color in CORAL :)

This is one of my favorite lipstick from E.l.F so far~

Sorry for the blur picture but the lighting in my room was a little odd.

Any way for this particular line of matte lip colors they come in a twist up stick form, the shape is very similar to a skinny version of a Revlon Just Bitten Stain Balm.

The pink color tip can be pull out and "sharpen" the lip color for precise application
but I think this kinda waste the product.
Moving on....
If you have high expectation to the packaging, I'm sorry this will disappoint you a bit.
due to the twist up packaging, the creamy formula of the lipstick tends to melt a bit on the outer layer.
otherwise this is quite good actually.

Now color swatches on the back of my hand:-

My hand is a little hairy :P but anyway this is the swatch without flash. To me, this is not so much of a coral color but more like a pink-ish nude. its a pretty nice color.

with flash. still a very pretty color to me :)

Below are the swatches on my lips
Super nice, it glides on really well on my lips but I do think those people who have dry chap lips you would need to exfoliate your lips first prior to application. :)

With Flash. Pretty pinkish nude color. I did put some lip balm before applying the matte color. Color pay off is quite good actually. :)

Pros:-

Easy and Precise Application
Twist out applicator.
Creamy Formula
Semi matte if you put a glossy lip balm prior to application
Decent staying power.
quite affordable

Cons:-

Quite drying for people who have chapped and peeling lips
like most matte lipstick, this one does make dry lips look even drier.

Overall rating :-

Price: 4/5 (If you get it from smoochiezz the price run from $7 to $9.90, I don't think you can go wrong with this price for a good quality matte lipstick)
Staying power: 3/5 (Lasted on my lip for 3 hour without eating and drinking some beverages. It did transfer a bit to my mug and straw)
Color Payoff: 5/5 (This is the perfect pinkish nude, I loved MAC Creme Cup but it make me look a little sick, where as this make me look healthier and fresh. To me I used it as my everyday go to lipstick. This kind of remind me of a pink & matte version of MAC Ravishing. )
Packaging: 3/5 (To me, the sharpener thingy is pointless to me and the wording "elf matte lip color" will rub off. Beside these two issue I have with the product but I can oversee them :))

Overall Rate : 4.5/5

Hope You Guys Like My Review !! :)

Next Post Will Be A Yummy Post !! :) Stay Tune !

$20 Make Up Challenge look :))))))

Hi Beauty babies,

As corresponding to the last post here is the look I've created with all the product bought within $20 budget (the budget does not include the tools i've used) ! BTW I didnt use the masacara from essence because my mom took it thus i don't have it with me, but i'll do a review for it shortly after this post !

I've applied my BB cream with my favourite brush at the moment for foundation, The real techniques expert face brush.

I used the Kajal Pencil from essence to fill in my eyebrow and then smudge it with an eyebrow brush.
then I used it on my lower lashes line and smudge it a little bit so that it look less harsh.

for the eye shadow wise i used the first color on the left (the champagne color) all over my eyelid and then I used the fourth colour from the left (the Bronzy dark brown) the the corner of my eye to create a natural hazy look :)

then for the blush i used elf studio blush in candid coral for a natural flush of color, to make full use of my eyeshadow palette I used the pure white color on the right as a highlighter on my cheekbone, brow bone, nose and my chin.

Then for contour i used the 2nd and 3rd color from the left mixing it together it give a very nice glowing bronzer. This help to warm up my skin as im quite fair and at the same time it gives off a nice glow :)

btw I know my lips looked like it have drawn out of my "lip line" but my boarder of the lip is acutally there don't ask me why :/

This is a really easy everyday look for work and school. The makeup look very natural and its really easy to do. Definately something boyfriend will approve.

"A person should be the one wearing the makeup and not the makeup wearing the person"
- What my mom always says :)

Just in case for those wanna know what tools I have used to create this look :-

Theses are the brushes i used for this look. !!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THE REAL TECHNIQUES BRUSHES :)

Hazy night = a Lazy night.

btw I'm sorry for the photo quality my room lighting decided to fuck me up some how :/

 Love Vivian.

$20 Make Up Challenge. Singapore edition :) + Mini Review

Hi peeps,

I'm so excited today as I have finally put together my SGD$20 makeup challenge*** (Tools for the look not included alright!)  !! :) I think I've done a pretty good job for it, lets see what I've got all under SGD$20:-

Face :-

Holika Holika Aqua Petit BB Cream $7
I actually discover this BB cream last year, my first bottle cost me $15 with shipping,
I got this 2nd bottle during the promotion on Gmarket/Qoo10 from one of the Korean Seller for $7 with normal korean airmail (what a steal right !). I really like this BB cream as this give light to medium coverage and a semi matte/velvet finish.

E.L.F Studio Blush in Candid Coral $4
I have no idea why it look so dark in the pic but in real life it is a peachy Coral color. I got this again during a flash sales of one seller on Qoo10/Gmarket with local normal mail.

Daiso 6 Eyeshadow palette $2 in Brown

Let me tell you some of my personal secrets, Daiso actually make very very decent eyeshadow for the price you paid for. like this above, the formula is really soft and buttery, not to forget it is highly pigmented. (I will do a separate review/swatch for this ! Stay Tune !)

I will be using the 1st color from the far left as a highlight and the 2nd and 3rd color as a bronzer.

Essence All Eyes On Me Multi Action Mascara $4.40
This baby has been my all time favourite mascara ever since i discover it ! even though the formula is not waterproof but the staying power is awesome for this !! no flaking or transfer for 8 hrs straight ! best of all unlike a lot of drugstore mascara out there like (in Singapore) this is Made in Germany and not China.
It give amazing volume and length to my eyelashes.

Essence Kajal Pencil 08 Teddy $2.30

Though it did state that it is waterproof, this is pretty long lasting for the price you pay for. It is super creamy to glide on your eyes and waterline and I will be doubling up as a brow pencil :)
I did a water test on the Kajal Pencil and realise that so long u dont rub ur eyes even when it is wet it wont smudge on you.

I got this when i brought another 2 mini lipstick. its really cheap. Quality not bad t

Total Cost SGD $19.70
